Course Outline:
This unit provides an introduction to Classical Hebrew - the original language of the Old Testament. It will take students through the Hebrew alphabet, to an understanding of the language itself. Basic grammatical rules and vocabulary will be presented, as well as the basic principles of translating text. By the end of this unit students will be able to begin to read the Old Testament in Hebrew with the aid of a dictionary.
