MONDAY: COMPARATIVE THEOLOGY
Lecturer: Rev. Fr. Matthew Attia
This course examines the key theological differences between the Orthodox and Catholic Church including; the Immaculate Conception, Infallibility of the Pope, Purgatory, Primacy of Rome, and Salvation of Non-Believers. The course covers differences with the Protestant Churches such as; Intercession of the Saints, Sacraments and Liturgy, Mariology, Speaking in Tongues and Christology. The course concludes with analysing efforts towards unity including; bilateral dialogue with the Catholic, Anglican and Protestant Churches, Role of the World Council of Churches and obstacles to unity. TUESDAY: CHURCH HISTORY II
Lecturer: Mrs. Nadine Samir
This course focuses on the severe theological conflict that the church and its leaders were under from the end of the third century to the middle of the fifth century. This theological conflict was regarding, the divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, the divinity of the Holy Spirit and the relationship between the divine and human nature in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ. The reasons for the first split in the church and the recent attempts for unity amongst the Orthodox Churches are dealt with here. The course also addresses the lives of the great fathers from the East and the West who defended the Orthodox faith and it concludes with the Arab conquest of Egypt and the position of the Copts during the first five centuries of the Arab rule.(Fees :$ 70.00)

WEDNESDAY: COUNSELLING, stage 1
This course is made up of 12 lectures (2 hours each), presented by qualified specialists in the field of counselling. “Stage 1” will cover the basic principles in counselling. For those wishing to continue further, more courses will be offered in the near future for the students who will complete successfully Stage I. (Fees: $90.00)

THURSDAY: DOCTRINAL THEOLOGY
Lecturer: Mr. Amir Hanna , and Mr. Magdi Rizk
This subject discusses the fundamentals of the Christian Doctrine, especially the Orthodox theological thought in respect of the divinity of the Christ the Lord and the divinity of the Holy Spirit, followed by a study of the church, its theological concept and its authority. A study of eternity, i.e. the after-death. Sources of religion, tradition and the Holy Bible. Study of the visible and invisible creatures and many other basic and introductory topics in the study of theological sciences. (Fees: $70.00)
