Rationale:
Clergy, servants, youth workers and students require a foundation of core skills in which to build their repertoire of helping interventions. Effective counselling requires an ability to empathise, to convey unconditional warmth and respect, and to operate from an inner authenticity. Upon these foundations understanding of specific person's problems and ways of helpful intervention can be built.


Objectives:
In this course students will gain an understanding of the following principles and processes involved in Counselling:
